Drug intelligence / Profile preview
[68Ga]S02-GIP-T4 is a novel gallium-68-labeled positron emission tomography (PET) radioligand developed by Antaros Medical in collaboration with Sanofi. It is designed to selectively target the gastric inhibitory polypeptide receptor (GIPR) with sub-nanomolar affinity. The tracer serves as a non-invasive diagnostic biomarker to assess GIPR target distribution and quantify drug target engagement/occupancy in vivo, particularly for multi-receptor incretin agonists (such as dual GLP-1/GIP or triple GLP-1/GIP/glucagon receptor agonists) being developed for metabolic disorders like type 2 diabetes and obesity. Preclinical evaluations in rats and non-human primates have demonstrated high selectivity, rapid clearance, and a safe dosimetric profile suitable for clinical translation.
